About Ali...
Ali Shumate, a native of Bluefield West Virginia and now residing in West Palm Beach Florida, is a singer / songwriter with Hadley Music in Nashville Tennessee.

Ali has enjoyed success during her bluegrass / country career.  Her first 10-song original album, Heartbreak Train, was recorded in 2006 at Chelsea Studios in Nashville and was released at the Gibson Showcase Theater at The Opry Mills.  She and her band took that project across the mid-Atlantic States on an FYE Music Store tour to promote the single "Heartbreak Train", which charted on Billboard Single Sales for several weeks.  She has appeared at many venues and bluegrass festivals across the Southeast US, and has participated in many other events as well in the country, pop and classical music genre

Of particular note, Ali was honored to receive the key to the city of Pocahontas Virginia in recognition of her music career and her family's longstanding history in the performance of music in that area over the past 150 years.

Ali grew up in the mountains with a love for music from the start.  As a child she was classically trained in piano and woodwinds, later expanding her studies to strings and voice.  She has served as vocalist, pianist / organist and choir director for various churches and houses of worship throughout her lifetime, as she believes strongly in using her gifts for something greater.

Fond memories of bluegrass gospel playing on the radio every Sunday morning helped nurture her love of mountain music and layed the foundation for her  career in Bluegrass / Americana.

Ali is a member of IBMA, SPBGMA, CMA, ASCAP and NSAI.
